In Kiosk Mode, the scanner is initially locked. Users walk up to the Account Logic interface. All users and projects have been synchronized by Argos. Keying in a username, password and project releases the scanner. Scan and billing data are stored on the controller until Argos downloads it on a daily basis.
In Desktop Mode, billing takes place at the desktop with the power and flexbility of Argos billing dialog. Using the Account Logic interface, users only need to identify themselves via a single PIN code. The scanner is unlocked, and the user scans. Project and billing information are assigned at the responsible user’s desktop.
