Argos 7.0.6 is here

Monday, May 10th, 2010

Our Q.A. guys are exhausted, but we’re happy to announce that Argos 7.0.6 is ready. There’s a bunch of new stuff in this release:

  • New version of Argos OnBoard for Canon MEAP, which we recently announced. It supports Canon imageRUNNER Advance
  • Argos OnBoard for Ricoh, which lets you track copying on compatible Ricoh MFPs without external hardware
  • Manual Entry lets you add arbitrary records to your Argos database, which is ideal if you have a staffed mail or print room, or if you do a lot of “analog” activity like stapling, binding, covers…things that aren’t captured with ordinary print tracking
  • Support for Smart Clicks on the Océ ColorWave 600
  • The Argos Desktop Client for Mac gets Favorites
  • Improved tracking for Adobe Creative Suite applications on Mac
  • Multiple Deltek Round Trip connections
  • Project synchronization for Océ Repro Desk Studio
  • MSI installers for network deployments

Whew…that’s a lot for one point release and we think there’s a little something for everyone.

Manual Entry represents our first addition to the Argos Desktop Client. It’s something we’re really excited about and we think you’ll be, too. We’ll be writing more about why, and what that means, in the coming weeks.

Argos for Canon MEAP – new version released

Thursday, May 6th, 2010

We were happy to hear from our friends at Canon U.S.A. that our newest version of Argos for Canon MEAP was approved and ready for prime time. The big story here is that we now officially support the Canon imageRUNNER Advance line. Less visible, but no less important: lots of added diagnostics and logging which makes life easier for our support crew.

There’s a snazzy new PDF brochure to go with it, too.

The new version will be available in the forthcoming Argos 7.0.6. If you’re not on Argos 7 yet, it works with Argos 6, too.

Contact your Argos dealer or us for details.
