We’re pleased to announce that Argos 7.0.8 is ready. What happened to Argos 7.0.7, you ask? We decided to skip it, rolling its features into 7.0.8.
Introducing Argos for Xerox
The lead story for 7.0.8 is new Argos for Xerox embedded software, which we’ve detailed here. Impressively (for us, as developers), Argos for Xerox works on both small and large format Xerox devices.
Other highlights include:
- Improvements to Argos for Konica Minolta that allow you to configure more than one communication server. That means better fault tolerance.
- Improvements to Argos for KIP that take advantage of KIP’s new log format (available as part of the latest KIP firmware). The new format allows us to much more accurately report page dimensions and quantities than in the past.
- The return of the Dashboard. In Argos 6, administrators could see all the users with pending jobs right on the Argos Manager home page. We didn’t realize how much people missed it, so now it’s back for Argos 7.
- Previously, billing code visibility rules were only available for your top-tier billing codes. Lower tiers were either all visible, or all hidden. Argos 7.0.8 extends visibility rules down to the lower tiers.
- Auto backup creates nightly backups of your database.
