Sepialine and HP Deliver Tracking Solution for the New HP Designjet 4000 Printer Series

Cost recovery solutions from Sepialine help customers capture vital statistics about office expenses such as printing, copying and scanning. Sepialine's unique approach includes industry firsts - such as quotas, snooze and messaging - all designed to preserve workflow, and yet ensure that all expenses are tracked. INCREASED CAPACITY - INCREASED PROFITS

With HP's new Double Swath technology, the HP Designjet 4000 significantly increases the speed and throughput of large format inkjet printers, without compromising quality. LEVERAGING UNIQUE STRENGTHS

The collaborative effort between Sepialine and HP enables the HP Designjet 4000 Printer series to offer the statistics and information necessary for robust tracking and reporting.

The HP Designjet 4000 Printer series incorporates a new on-board controller that gives access to key print job statistics. Significantly, the HP Designjet 4000 provides ink consumption information which Sepialine leverages to provide two tracking options:

Native Sepialine print tracking software captures the HP Designjet 4000 as a standard printer. Statistics such as page width, height, quantity, username, filename and date/time are reported to the Sepialine database.
Extended Sepialine support for the HP Designjet 4000 leverages ink density data to distinguish between different jobs types, such as line art, high resolution photos and illustrations. Job costing can be calculated differently, depending on the density of the job, allowing customers to more accurately reflect the true cost of a wide variety of different printing styles. Ink density tracking is unique to the HP Designjet 4000, sold as an add-on to the core Sepialine platform and used in tandem with, or in lieu of, native Sepialine tracking.
