A Message from the CEO about the Technesis Purchase

Well, that was exciting!

As you may have heard, we just announced that Technesis is now a part of Sepialine. Technesis is a company with a rich history of developing innovative products, and we are looking forward to integrating their technology into our offerings.

Sepialine and Technesis have a long history together; both companies started around the same time, and are based in the San Francisco Bay Area. We both set out to meet the same needs – helping architecture and engineering firms track and bill for wide format plots. Both companies have grown considerably since those humble beginnings, and we’re proud to say that Technesis is a member of the Sepialine family.

What does this mean for Technesis customers?

Don’t panic. The Technesis support team will continue to provide support for Technesis Print Control System. Moving forward, we will not be developing new features for this product, so most customers will want to move over to Argos, Sepialine’s cost recovery and print management software.

We will make this easy, and our support staff will be there to ensure a smooth transition to the new software. Argos is reliable, easy to use, and integrates with a wide variety of MFPs, plotters and accounting systems.

We will be contacting you as your Technesis software support contract comes due to discuss the upgrade options. If you want to upgrade before the contract comes due, we are happy to help schedule your transition early – just get in touch with us at sales@sepialine.com or (800)404-9558.

What does this mean for Argos customers?

If you’re already using Argos, you’ll see increased innovation and faster development of new features. The Technesis product management team will be joining us to help guide our development team, and we look forward to the expertise they will bring to Argos.

What does this mean for Printerpoint customers?

Technesis is a leader in the large format device management space, and brought many MPS features to the market before anyone else through PrintControlOnline and their collaboration with Cloud4MPS. While these products will be discontinued, you will see features and technology find their way into our cloud-based wide format device management tool, Printerpoint.

If you have any questions or concerns about Sepialine’s purchase of Technesis, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly at jevans@sepialine.com, or (800)404-9558 x169.
