By knowing how many days until a cartridge is empty, you can truly ship replacement ink ‘Just In Time.’ This keeps field inventory low and customers printing.

Also, knowing ‘Days to empty’ per-cartridge makes replacement quite intelligent. A magenta cartridge at 20% could last another month, but black at 20% could be empty tomorrow. Having a universal ‘Days to empty’ threshold means you send out the right cartridge at the right time.
