Create Sales Orders in e-automate!

Printerpoint’s wildly popular ECI e-automate supply order integration just got even better! Now, when you approve a supply order in Printerpoint, it can create both a sales quote and a sales order. This speeds up fulfillment time and removes one more manual step from your processes.


Enable Printerpoint Connect for Latest HP Models

In anticipation of HP's official firmware update, which will allow us to add full Printerpoint functionality for the DesignJet XL 3800, DesignJet T850 and DesignJet XT950, we’ve built an interim solution that includes:

  • Printerpoint Connect support

  • Lifetime counter

  • Print Category Counter / Combined Print Category Counter billing methods

  • Ink cartridge levels / ink supply ordering

  • Meters sent to e-automate

  • Meters available via API


Before HP’s next firmware update, add your DesignJets to Printerpoint and set the Firmware Update settings to "automatic." You’ll be among the first to get access to new Printerpoint features as soon as your printer is updated (requires Printerpoint Agent version 6.3.0 or higher). 

You can remotely update the firmware settings by clicking the “Connect” button in Printerpoint. You’ll just need the printer’s admin PIN – on a sticker on the back of the printer.

 

Customer Portal Print Tracking – Additional Features

If you hadn’t noticed, we’ve been stealthily building a cloud-based, dealer-branded print tracking solution for your customers right inside Printerpoint. We recently added user groups so your customers can track their print usage by department.


IMPROVEMENTS


HP Printers Show Up Quicker in Printerpoint

Ever added an HP printer to Printerpoint and waited a long time for it to show up? That’s because most of the information we need, like ink levels and meter reads, isn’t available when the printer is in sleep mode.


We changed some things this month so HP printers will show up in Printerpoint when they are in sleep mode. If you need a meter read right away, just click the "Connect" button to open up the printer’s web admin page and you can wake it up!


Supply Order API Improvements

The Printerpoint Supplies API is a great way to automate order fulfillment from Printerpoint into just about any fulfillment system, like Oracle, MS NAV, etc. In this release, we’ve expanded the information about printers and customers that is available with supply orders so developing custom solutions with our API is even easier.

 

Firmware Upgrade Recommendation Improvements

Printerpoint’s firmware recommendation algorithms got an upgrade, allowing us to hide firmware version upgrade notifications when a manufacturer has withdrawn a firmware version due to security issues.
